Sakarya University Faculty of Art Design and Architecture, Department of Painting, Dr. Lecturer Gülseren Budumlu İldeş's Painting Exhibition titled "Once upon a time..." opens at Istanbul Pinelo Art Gallery on October 21, 2023, between 16.00-19.00.
Gülseren Budumlu İldeş, who held her 7th personal exhibition, in the painting exhibition titled "Once upon a time..." She strives to create fairy-tale compositions that question what exists and what does not exist in life, and is based on the fact that dreams and realities sometimes come together, and sometimes they become two opposite poles and separate. In her paintings, which do not break away from the portrait tradition, there are figures that are both about everyone and also subjective. The artist brought together her figures, sometimes alone, sometimes alone among people, lost among crowds, in moments of existence and extinction with her expressionist understanding of art. She adopted the expressionist approach to art, which states that static expression itself will never be an imitation, and carried out her works in this direction.
The painting exhibition titled "Once upon a time...", which includes the paintings of Gülseren Budumlu İldeş produced in the last five years, will continue until October 30, 2023.
