Sakarya University, Faculty of Fine Arts department was established in 1997, has started training in 2000. In 2001, gravure and serigraphy is a printmaking workshop, including two became operational. Painting Department had its first graduates in 2004, the same year of the graduate program students began to accept. As of 2013, the official establishment of the proficiency in arts program has been completed.
Mission The aim of the painting department is to provide students with intellectual knowledge, technical skills and artistic vision during the eight-semester education and training program. The main aim of the painting department is to raise creative individuals who can determine their artistic problematics and form their own perspective, think analytically, synthesize, and are equipped to comprehend the phenomena of the age in which they live, and who express their own artistic problematics in an artistic language.
